You need to edit your shortcut target line (right-click>properties of your shortcut) so that it looks like this: "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe" -devmode -devmode is case sensitive though it does have to be placed one space after the quotes. Secondly, go into your main Far Cry directory C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Crytek
Start the game with the -DEVMODE command line parameter by making a shortcut to the game on your desktop. Right click the shortcut and edit the properties putting in the -DEVMODE option and clicking 'OK' before the end. Then during gameplay press one of the following keys to activate the corresponding effect.
To check your hosts file, go the the folder u/Toastyzone showed in their post. Inside will be a file called "hosts". Open it in notepad and see if there are any mentions of "ubisoft" or "ubi" in there. You want to remove these if they are there. /Cain (Uplay Client Team) 5. melawfu.
